Yes. Two independent guys tested them back to back and there was about a 7-10 whp peak difference, but a 25-30 whp midrange difference.

Stock airbox only starts being a bottleneck above 6500 rpm, and not much of one at that.
Post the links.

I saw zero airflow gains with the Airaid tube. On back to to back runs the same day.

Its weird that some people see zero gains, while others show 10+ peak and 20-30 wheel HP in the midrange. The numbers you are claiming are nearly double what MotoIQ saw with the PP1 (tune and filter).. :ninja:

I'm preparing to install the Velossa Tech Design Big Mouth Ram air kit to my car. Seems like a great idea in conjunction with the flat panel high flow filter.
id stick with the stock box, mishimoto/airaid elbow, Velossa Tech Big mouth and a green panel filter.
Yep, I did [roughly] the same:

Velossa ducts
Mishimoto intake tube
AEM panel filter (dry)
Modified OEM airbox (removed carbon patch, etc.)

Sounds great, pulls hard (car also has full exhaust and a really good tune), got rid of all the sound tube nonsense, look neat (red ducts and tube), IATs stay _low_ around town.

I had great success with the Mishi. Under 4k there was an issue with spark timing, but it gets back on after that.

There's one right above my post here. I'll find the other. It was from ALUSA

Also, "20-30 wheel HP in the midrange" with JUST the
airaid tube?

pending mishi tube and tune here. i have the airaid filter. the cost was too much more for real intake but i dont know much i will regret it. only disadvantage in the oem box is surface area, but does the ambient gain make up for it?

I came to the conclusion that there was no downside to removing it, and a chance of an added benefit. It looks to me like it is just taking up space. Since I'm going for a positive pressure increase with the ram air and a sealed box it made sense to me.
I came to the same conclusion (though I tore mine out with reckless abandon ...)
