I'm going to have Intercity transport my GT350 from Texas to California and was wondering about the splitter and shipping. Can I have it shipped with the splitter installed or should I do that at a local dealer here in CA? Anyone have their car transported with the splitter on?

Thanks in advance.

InterCity delivered my car from Colorado to Southern California with the splitter installed....no problem. I sent the Dealer the install video and they did it right!

Buying out of state, so shipping. Was glad to see that dealer did not install splitter.
I will install myself when it gets here. Many shipped with splitter on and no problems
others at dealers with front end scrapped up, no splitter installed.

Reports of incorrectly installed by dealer splitters on this site, with some
tearing up the front end at speed. Check the install good if you have them
do it. Do it yourself, or if not handy, find a local Stang guy to help you.

We can all be bribed with pizza and brews, brews after of course !

my car, with the splitter installed, was shipped by Intercity, and it worked out GREAT.
I asked the dealer to take pictures of the bottoms, and also videos of loading. In the video, I saw the driver was on his knees checking the splitter (without specific instructions from anyone).

These guys are specialized in shipping expensive cars. As much as we think our GT350 is so special, this isn't really out of the norm for them.

The real question is --- can your dealer be trusted on this installation...

Thanks for the insight guys. I plan on sending the dealer the install video and flying out to inspect the car before transport. Glad to hear Intercity can handle these cars with splitters on.

Thanks again.

If for some reason you can not fly out, as I could not, you can
find a local professional mobile auto inspector to check the car.

That is what I did, $95, he paint gauged the whole car, undercarriage,
walk around with me on the phone, etc. An option if you can not
get out there.

Great to know. I'll keep that in mind if I need it. Thanks again!

I'm asking for the following:

No PID
Install Splitter
No car wash
No fuel fill up
No drilling of front license plate
No dealer sticker on bumper

Anything else I'm missing?

I've got FF miles to burn so I figure I'd fly out and close the deal in person. A handshake and a smile I figure is the least I could do for being such a stickler on the car prep.:D

I installed my splitter. It's pretty easy. I don't have many plans to mod the car from stock so it was one of the few things I was going to be able to wrench on :)

Best way to do it IMO. Make sure you take a goooood look at the splitter if the dealer installs it though. Check every single screw/nut/bolt.
