So what is the internal component weakest link in the Coyote shortblock?

I don't think there are block differences. I'm doing pistons, rods, bearings, ARP hardware (not sure on part numbers), OEM gaskets I'm pretty sure, and block supports in the water jacket.

Assuming the cylinders are all still round I'm reusing my block and keeping the stock sleeves.

Kind of what I have been thinking along the same lines.

Jpc uses cometic i believe.

Ive heard good things about Je proseal gaskets too. They make a set for us as well.

I thought the Aluminator was sleeved.

Aluminator and stock block have the factory ford thin sleeves. Darton sleeves are what most use in over 1k applications.

That was also my thoughts. Why spend the extra coin on the same block? Unless you want plug and play so to speak.

The Aluminator can make sense up to about 900 plus tire. You can likely have your shortblock locally built with better parts for less money than the aluminator. If you want more power than that you need the big boy sleeves, billet I beam rods, custom Pistons, etc.
