My mate seen this ecoboost at Glenelg today. Got trade plates. Looks like some dealers have demo's then. Dont like the DRLs. Anyone taken a demo for a run.

Had a nice surprise on my way to work today and seen my first mustang on the road. Made my day, gave me the needed mustang fix and made me want mine more. First one I've seen in magnetic and it looks great.

Just saw another red ecoboost getting dropped off at the Adrien Brian pre delivery centre. They have delivered 3 GT's and 3 EcoBoost since NYE, this will be the seventh. Any more SA people on here got their cars yet or pick them up in the next couple of weeks?

Hopefully next Friday. Headers have taken longer than expected, the Aussie model has a larger oil cooler than the US model so both sides had to be fabricated and tested from scratch. Once I get it back still have to get paint protection and tinting done.

Just got back from re-signing my contract getting ready for delivery next month. Hopefully just before Easter which would be nice.

Managed to evade the clutches of the paint/carpet/leather protection girl. Lucky I had my wife with me to vouch for my OCDness with regard to car care - had to sign a wavier of sorts - although I am going to let them organise the tint after seeing one of their other Mustangs that has been done.

I mean what does she think I'm going to do? Park it in the open or under trees?? Let kids under 13 in it??




But seriously, I think if you added up the paint protection, carpet protection and leather treatment it came to something like $3K.

For me it doesn't represent value. I think what you're really buying is an insurance policy for these areas and maybe this might have appeal in some situations.

Do you know if our cars have a larger oil cooler than all US cars including PP equipped vehicles or was it just larger than KPM's non PP US car?

Moot point I know, but if ours are larger than all US cars (PP and non PP) it points a deeper level of re-engineering for AUS cars than I would have thought and may extend to other areas as well.

Good pick up, KPM's LHD is the base model which they already had headers engineered for and may be the difference in addition to the obvious LHD vs RHD. The US PP oil cooler is likely the same as ours but I'm not sure.

If you have not already ordered a DIB, you may not to be able to order one now.

DIB has been dropped for the 2017 model.

I think the 2017 model manufacturing starts in September 2016.

If you order a car now, you are looking at 12 to 13 months before it will be manufactured.
