That blue pops!!
it was a little bit of a risk. But what convinced me was seeing factory 04 ford gt cam covers in blue.

im happy with my decision. Still waiting on a gasket kit but car is pretty much all back together.

Just need to put the chute cable through the bumper and button that up.

Drove it yesterday and the converter is night and day different. Feels a million times better. No longer like a cvt.

went ahead and put the timing back into it, took off the air filter, and preparing for a track outage. I still need to run the parachute cable through the bumper but that’s easy. Time to start working on the nhra license.

so after the converter install and my first test drive, I verified zero leaks and fluids were all topped off.

well I went to drive the car to a meet on Friday. Pulled it out to warm up and there was a good amount of trans fluid on the ground. Jacked it up and confirmed it was coming from the crossmember area.

pulled it back in and put it on four jack stands. Cleaned everything up and ran it. Looked like the leak was coming from the output yoke and I could see the splines. (Thought this was odd) so I pulled the exhaust and driveshaft. Sure enough it was missing the cap on the yoke. Tried calling Strange with no answer and yet to get a call back. I was hoping to see if there were parts available. So instead, I drove in a 1.5in freeze plug with some lock tight. Put it all back together and confirmed no more leak.

about one of the oddest things that has happened to me. But I’m very glad it wasn’t at the track.

and to think I was very close to buying some strange front brakes. They lost my business when they never called me back.

I plan to hit the next test and tune available.

I’m looking for any information in regards to an Air Inlet like this. I’m curious if I can’t use a ecoboost radiator and lower it’s position So give me space.

anyone have any leads on this? I’m going to start looking into it hardcore.

This can definitely be done with an ecoboost radiator and this is on my list as well. I know the ecoboost fans plug up to the original plug. Need to see if the condenser connections are the same as gt...

I’m going to try and get my eyes into a ecoboost soon so I can feel it out.

Friday test and tune is on the schedule and I will say, I’m pumped. I don’t think I’ve ever been this prepared. I will be removing the chute for the testing so I don’t give tech the wrong impression. I’m limited to 9.0 and 150mph anyway but before I can reach that, I need to make my license passes. Which is the goal between this Friday and the next.

of course I had to “test tow” the car into town. The truck feels great with the load. Besides the squat (I seen this coming when I leveled it) I do plan to add either bags or a different support but that’s the least of my worries at the moment. I could also move the car back on the trailer some once I get shorter axle straps.

Could run the car a bit further back on the trailer to reduce tongue weight.

thats what I’ll do when my shorter axle straps come in. Got 42in ones and they don’t give me any room to go back further.

Ah yes I see. I planned to do fixed length chains on the front. That way all I have to do is strap the rear tight.
