Am I correct in assuming that it's possible for the 3.73 gear PP cars to get better in town MPG because they can get up to speed with more ease, but are lower on the highway? Or just lower all-around?
Been looking at different #s and still can't reach a conclusion.

GT with 3.15 gears and automatic is averaging 17.4mpg per the log book. This is with 35-40% miles being "spirited" driving. :)

Wow compared to others, you seem to be getting less then a lot of other 3.15s with auto averages.

I guess I can take the trophy for the worst MPG in the thread. I'm at 960 miles and haven't seen over 11.8 yet. I'm always in sports mode though and the only driving I need to do are for short runs or just getting out of the house. I feel like I don't belong here, haha.

May take a road trip to Destin, FL in a few months. Should be interesting to see what I can pull off.

Computer says 19, but the actual mileage is panning out to 17.4. I drive in sport a lot. It also took a nose dive when the corsa exhaust went on, the amazing sound makes the foot heavier. I'm slowly getting back to normal driving. I can easily pass 23 sustained on the highway. This is a 3500 mile average.

I'm getting 15-17 on my GT, mostly around town driving. I start out in first (1:3.55) almost all the time, run it in Sport Mode, and have had the AC on all summer here in TX. I guess this is what they mean when they say "your mileage may vary".

You probably can, in theory. In practice, the torque multiplication is so intoxicating I end up burning as much or more. I binge and purge...

Ah it's probably sport mode...keeps it in the higher rev range longer.

I found little or no difference in mpg's using either 87 or 91 octane (Premium here in MN) in my EB. I did find at least a 10% drop in mpg's when using the Sport mode.
