So is the oil system self contained? If it is then what is the braided line that you hooked to the head unit?

Following the instruction manual, a few items need taken care of before mounting the intercooler. First is to replace the upper radiator support brackets with the PC supplied brackets.

Remove factory:

Install supplied:

The horn also needs to be relocated. Basically, you're just moving the mounting location down a few inches from here:

Position the intercooler with a floor jack to make handling easier.

With it in position, you can bolt it in place with the supplied brackets. Kind of hard to photograph since the brackets bolt to the back of the bumper but you can kind of see what's going on here. They utilize the bumper bolts.

Ends up looking something like this. Pretty sweet.

Got things started off this morning with a cup of coffee.

Per instructions, the outlet elbow needs trimmed. There's a bit of trial and error here as you want to find the best fit to prevent kinking. I trimmed a little more each time until I was happy with the fit. Cutting rubber hose can be tricky but I used a razor and it worked well.

Finally, make the connection from the metal tube to the throttle body with the elbow:

Assemble air inlet tube with supplied parts:

Now it's time to attach the silicone elbow onto the Procharger inlet. In doing research, I came upon several threads that commented on the difficulty of making this attachment. Some people felt that the silicone elbow was too small to span the mouth of the Procharger inlet.

I want to give credit where it's due; I took the advice of forum member gqneon and bought this piece from Ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/261667376847?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

The original thread is here:

Pictured below is the Procharger supplied piece on the bottom and the Ebay inlet on top:

This is what the air inlet tube looks like mocked up outside the car:

I spent about 2-3 minutes trying to get the Procharger piece on, just to see how difficult it was. To be fair, I think I could have installed it with a little more elbow grease. It's definitely a tight fit but doable. I simply didn't feel like messing with it when the ebay inlet literally slips on ONE HANDED.

Here's what it looks like installed:

JDM FTW!!!!!!!!

Concerning the quality of an "ebay" piece vs the Procharger piece, they are comparable. In fact, the ebay piece may even have a bit more rigidity to it. The angle and and sizing of it are excellent. The length of the metal tube is more than enough to offset the shorter arm of the ebay inlet. It fits the Procharger inlet nicely and is VERY secure once the worm clamp is screwed down. And it's not so big that the screw clamp buckles the silicone as it tightens.

My understanding is that Procharger has a revised inlet that will eventually make its way into the kit but this Ebay one fits nicely for me. I will continue to update on its performance.

With the inlet installed, I placed the metal inlet tube on and popped on the filter:
