Fuel System

The kit includes larger fuel injectors that need to be installed. Before attempting, I depressurized the system by pulling the fuel pump relay (I believe it was #49 in the engine compartment fuse panel) and starting the car. The car will either simply crank the motor or run for only a few seconds until the residual fuel is removed.

The fuel rail is held in place by 4 bolts and can be removed as an assembly and taken to a clean work surface to swap in the supplied injectors. Simply unclip each injector and install the new ones. A few drops of clean engine oil is recommended on the injector o-rings to help fully seat them.



Then reassemble the fuel system using the PC supplied fuel rail spacers.

Cooling System

Drain the cooling system by turning the petcock (white valve) to allow the radiator fluid to drain. I saved mine in a clean bucket to reuse it.



Once the system is drained, remove the radiator hose from the thermostat housing:




With the radiator hose out of the way, you can install the modified thermostat housing which is necessary to clear the blower bracket. Reinstall the hose.



The coolant reservoir is then removed to finish up the cooling system mods. Just disconnect the 3 hoses and 2 bolts holding it down.

So far so good... the install is going well. I am only able to work on it an hour or 2 at a time due to work/family stuff so it's a slow process but progressing nicely. I should have it finished this week/weekend.

Blower Bracket

First step in hanging the bracket is to remove some factory hardware. A few timing cover bolts and a nut off the alternator stud need to be removed. This is detailed very well in the instructions so nothing tricky here.



The belt is then removed by loosening the factory tensioner with a 15mm socket to take off the tension on the belt.



With that stuff out of the way, it's time to assemble the bracket.




Using the supplied hardware and spacers/standoffs the bracket is installed:

Blower Oil Drain Line

Finally a reason to pull the head unit out of the foam padding!



Simply screws on:

Head Unit Mounting

Mounting the head unit with the supplied hardware is simple. The only thing you need to ensure is that the Procharger label is facing upwards and the drain is at the lowest point.

Procharger Tensioner Pulley

Next up is the tensioner pulley. It is bolted onto the passenger side of the timing cover and uses existing predrilled holes. Almost like Ford put them there on purpose!



With the tensioner in place, I was able to install the supplied belt per the provided diagram:

I should get some stuff done tomorrow, I'm at work tonight (overnight shift) but I'll probably be able to do some wrenching in the afternoon with updates to follow.

Gotta get the belt tensioned down and then onto the intercooler install and piping.

Tensioning the belt

With the belt in place, time to tension it down. The Procharger tensioning pulley has an adjustment screw that makes dialing in tension easy.

Filling the Head Unit with Oil

Simply remove the plug/dipstick and fill with provided oil



Replace dipstick and tighten
