Not related to the topic entirely, but do you feel it was worth the $1-3k premium you likely paid to get your car for 8 days now plus having to deal with storing it over winter instead of just buying it in April? I'm not sure I'd have it in me to do that personally.
Got my 2017 base GT last May actually. Brand new, .2 kilometers $31k CAD.

Changing my oil today. OD is at 1022. Going with 5W-30 Mobil 1 before winter storage.
on the 18 is there a drain bolt behind that yellow plastic thing? I was about to take it off to see but I stopped myself in case that was all that was holding the oil in.

Nope. Yellow plastic piece is the drain plug.

Try " bob is the oil guy.com" you might learn something.
I work for a company that handles the fluids at Ford, the engines are run on a dyno carousel and the oil is changed out before they ever go into any car. (about 45 mins all rpm)
Yes I would change it at about 3000 miles real world but its not crazy important.
