I think if you pull the PCV valve hose and its dripping with oil, a catch can might be a good idea. I never heard of negative experience having one. Just another thing to check. (some of us like that)
I would not pay for a magnet but I do put hard drive magnets on my filters. I figure if the magnet on a drain plug gets a little its worth getting as much as I can with a free magnet on the filter.
How have you guys secured them? Mine have come undone top and bottom. I tried wire ties but that doesn't seem to work. OR should I just let them flop...

I don't know the angle but I have that all set up and working with a piece of intercooler tubing. I can get a picture if you want. I might go back to stock since I have seen no advantage (maybe at high rpm/speed) and a loss of mpg.
I have not tuned for it.
Really looks like movement of the cable is causing the breakage. Maybe your engine moves enough that causes a tug on the cable? Motormount flex? It's just a theory...
