It's not. The APIM only allows 2 connections. Even if you change the hardware, you'd have to alter the firmware. You'll see if you attempt to connect a USB hub.

Right, [MENTION=20670]19 Kilo[/MENTION] what you _can_ do for a little added functionality, is install the dual port (which I find more convenient anyway ...) and then wire up a little adapter for MiniUSB (F) to USB A (M), and use a USB power adapter in the power port (in the armrest).

Then you'd (potentially) have two fully functional USB ports (power + data) and a 3rd port in the front that's power only which I think would be handy for a passenger, or charging a GoPro, whatever.

The 2 device limitation is such that if you try to connect an iPhone wearing a Mophie Space Pack the APIM yells at you for connecting a hub.

The Space Pack has an internal hub that connects both the phone and flash storage through the micro-USB port.

There is certainly a way but I've never seen it posted. Maybe nobody has figured it out yet. I hope it happens soon.

Just did this, working great!

I enabled test settings and applied the GT theme but it doesn't stick after turning off the car.

Going to try forscan next, just made an account (for ext. lic.).

Does a normal usb obd2 reader work or is everyone using a specific one?

I've had a ton of problems with my bluetooth staying connected to the Sync 3 2.0 system in my 2017. Also my traffic and gas prices have never worked. A few people have reported improved bluetooth after going to 2.2. I finally got fed up with it enough to risk updating to 2.2. Sadly it didn't fix my bluetooth issues but my traffic works now. I haven't checked the gas prices yet, but I'll report back on that for other 2017 owners.
So if the OP wants to update the first post and let everyone know that the update works on 2017 Nav cars, feel free.
