I finally decided to take her up to about 6000 rpm today. Dont laugh, still breaking her in! lol I have the New Roush phase 2 tune which seemed to fix the code P016b that I was getting which is the max torque limiter code. Instead of a code, today it just decided to shut the motor down. A screen popped up saying something about "accessory blah blah blah??? At 6000 rpms?

I repeated this 3 times, shutting the motor off every time. Is 6000 rpm too high now? Seems low to shut the engine down. Any explanation would help. :frusty:

Sorry to hear about that! I cant imagine not getting on this car! I could hit the limiter before the tune and I think it was 7000.... I'm an auto though. The quick fix is a Lund or pb dyno tune..... Roush got mine squared away, but it took a while. Another member here went 10.7 at 130 with a Lund tune and tire.... And his is a phase 1

I know...... That's why it took me so long to do it. I also had to make sure the tune was the issue to begin with.

I am the one that went 10.7@130. My car was such a turd that the dealership did pay for my Lund tune. You have no clue what you are sitting in until you get a real tune!!

Did you have the Roush tune first? Which one?

I have the 670 kit and yes I had the Roush tune first. The car was slow and the tranny shifted like crap. I know another guy with a new GT with the 670 kit with a automatic. Best he has went has been a 11.7@116

I took my to the track and it ran 11.32, 11.27, 11.37 Btwn 125.44 and 126.88. The DA was close to 2500. The only mod was drag radials. The car is a 6A 3.55. Mph is indicator of potential this car has more than enough mph to run 10.90s. Most incredible factory Car i have ever owned. I have had 3 vettes including a zo6, 2012 300a 6m 3.73 gt, 2 grand nationals and a gbody drag car that runs 9.40s.The car got 23.1 mpg round trip to the track including the 3 runs. There were two hellcat auto challengers and the best that ran was 11.42 @ 124. Both were on drag radials. All previous cars "felt" like they would have handed this car it's ass. Run your car at the track it will run 11.30s on a radial.

Yea my car is the one I think NicksRubyRed15GT is talking about.. My car went 11.7 @116 with a 1.7 60.. SHIT if you ask me. Car would nose over above 4500rpm. But on the way home from the track the car started to detonate. I could hear it ping in the drivers seat. My dealer contacted Roush and they said they known about the tune issues on the A6 670hp and 727hp cars. That was as of 9/9 last Friday. I am currently waiting on a revised tune from Roush. They said it may take up to to weeks. I am only waiting on their tune because my car (for now) is under warranty. So I want to make sure everything is good before I pay someone else to tune it. I have driven it hard and now I assume that it was falling on its face because the computer was pulling so much timing because it was seeing knock. So for now Roush tune it is. :headbonk:

This is what I would expect it to run.. At least that MPH seems more like it! not 116 like mine :frusty:
