Now that we are in October, has anyone heard if Ford met the goal stated in SSM 51712 to have a service fix for our tops in Q3 2023?

Yes. Ford has moved the fix to Q1 2024.

I realize you have a new car but this may not hurt. I had not lubed my hinges and there was a bit of a squawk when closing so I used a penetrating grease on all the moving bits this morning and it’s much better. Now, I only mention this because my top from new always had to be pulled down the last half inch or so, then latched. I partially cycled the top more than several times to move the lube around before closing completely, and to my surprise, all I had to do was turn the handle, the top now fully seats. Maybe this would get you a little more travel.

So we have reached the end of Q1 2024 and I called Ford Customer Service and there is no fix yet! Also, SSM 51960 which says to expect Q1 2024 fix is the latest SSM that I have found on this issue.
Does anyone have any better info?

The TSB has just been released. It is TSB 24-2106.

The dealer will be able to open the TSB when you take your car in for service.

My Dealer told me today that they received my new top Ordered per the TSB, I made an appointment for later this month to have it installed.
