Switch is for a trans brake this is a 2 step. If you look at the pedal this is right off the brake pedal so the second you start lifting it stops 2 stepping. . I have cut a 1.31 sixty on the foot brake this way.

This is a 12v power source.

I also have a 2016 and this plugged right in.

I keep hearing conflicting stories on this working on 206+ mustangs. What gives???

I think they changed the coil harness design mid year 2016. They are completely different after the change. The plugs on the new harness are much smaller.

If that's the case, I should be good! I ordered my car, and took delivery of it before Easter..

Look at the picture on page one. If you coil plugs are like the white ones you have the newer style. If they have red clips you have the older style.

Finally was able to get to the car and start putting the JMS LaunchMax & MSD 2-step in the car. My car was built in March of 2016 and has the new coil packs/wiring. Bkingnorth, so what did you do? did you trim both plugs so the MSD harness will fit into the coil pack & the OEM harness???

Go with the nb2b. Think it's a five wire install. You can splice plugs but why do all that splicing if you only have to do five or six. (Can't remember exactly)

Just like so... disassembled the plugs from the MSD harness.

For you guys looking for a solution I have found the manufacturer of the new style connectors and I am waiting for a response. The issue is two fold, do they make a mating connector and are they protected by Ford for sale only to Ford.

32 spliced like that, each with a potential to go bad.

No thank you, and I can wire the fuck out of anything.
32? There’s 8 coils and 8 harness terminals. Actually, the terminals fit so tightly I’m not concerned a bit. But, I guess I can’t “wire the fuck out of anything “

Im in the middle of a th400 swap from 6r80 and my car was early 16 and the new manual ecu is late and when i ordered the manual harness from ford i got the wrong connectors lol im gonna mod the connevtors just like bkingnorth

Whats the difference if you splice in, mod connectors or just simple plug and play ? Ur still at the mercy of a connection failure !
