2022 Mustang GT
Mach1 has (stock base) Magneride, bigger sway bars, K brace, strut tower, rear differential cooler, transmission cooler, the engine oil cooler, under chassis front and rear belly pan, splitter, active exhaust with 4 1/2 inch GT500 mufflers, Brembo breaks, bigger wheels/tire set up (19x9.5/19x10). Also throttlebody manifold and intake. Mach1 weight roughly depends on automatic or manual, premium package with heated and cooled seats, the elite package with the extra speakers and sub in trunk, handling package adjustable, camber plates, even bigger, wheels and tires (19x10.5/19x11), front splitter, lip moldings and rear splash guards also a bigger Spoiler . These numbers will never be accurate, gas, different scales, etc..

550 Mach1 roughly (3868-3915)lbs
550 GT (3730-3932)lbs (counting convertible)
650 GT (3730-3933)lbs (counting convertible)
650 Dark Horse (3879-3993)lbs

The Darkhorse stock supposed to have more premium materials and (heavily/ heavy) revised instrument cluster (aka dual screens), dual intakes, dual throttle bodys, & dual pricesā€¦ DH comes with(19x9.5, 19x10)wheels also has a carbon fiber option to save that weightā€¦ Has stock Recaro seats, Forged piston connecting rods, heavy duty crankshaft, engine oil cooler, trans cooler, and rear diff cooler I believe just like the Mach1, light weight radiator, strut tower, K-brace and Magneride. active exhaust 4in tips, Brembo breaks front and rear, spoiler and splitter. thereā€™s also changes in the body etc.

Im just surprised with the smaller rear glass & probably some weight taken out of the trunk. So to me it should have been a lot lighter. But it does kinda look to have a Camaro quarter panel maybe thats leftover from GM, could explain the difference.šŸ¤”

For $hits and giggles, I built a DH Premium with the carbon fiber wheels (must select premium to get that option) which also requires the handling package. With the 10R80, itā€™s $81k which is getting into used GT500 territory without the GT500 performance. Thatā€™s before guzzler tax and any dealer markups too. Just under $80k with the Tremec.

Interesting bit of trivia most never notice or overlook. The standard Mach 1 wheels are a 1/2ā€ wider all around than the PP1 but still use the same PS4s size tire combo.

The standard Mach 1 wheels are a 1/2ā€ wider all around than the PP1
Ford needs to pull their head out of their ass and just put 9.5 square on every "normal" trim, ecoboost included. You can comfortably run 255 section all seasons all the way out to 285 summers.

Pp1 or Mach trims should be running no less than 10/10.5 shod with 275+ summers.

With the exception of the assembly/paint quality control which I sadly, at this point have come to begrudgingly accept, Iā€™d agree with you.

I love that I wait till the last year of a model to purchase. I got my 2014 GT then 2022 M1. If you get it at the end of the year before refresh, the cars naturally have the bugs worked out and tend to improve on styling and performance.

I used to be on the exact opposite of that philosophy. I would wait and buy cars after the 3-6 year cycles of the old/facelift model were over, and get into the new model with all the modern addons (automatic windshield wipers, auto-on head lights, Bluetooth phones, memory mirrors, parking assists, etc).
And then came the spy shots of the insides of the S650. It got me to place my order on a M1 the very same week. I wanted none of that future.
And yes, like you said, I got all the bugs worked out too !

I sure agree with your sentiment but I believe 2022 was the next to the last year. Pretty much same car Iā€™m sure.

Guys- we have the best N/A Mustang ever thatā€™s not a Shelby.
And Iā€™d bet Bullitt would probably do the same. Maybe even better.
BULLITT engines are the same as MACH1's. it is the transmissions and options on tranny's that set the 2 apart
