Loaded my tune and instantly got the dreaded "Low Oil Pressure" light. Reflashed the stock file and it's gone. Writing it off as the wrong tune. Specifically stated i have the mechanical oil pressure guage. Do i reply to the email i received my tune in if i want an update to a tune? Not sure how this all works. I replied stating my problem but have not heard back. Not sure if i am doing it right as there is also the revision option located on the support page.
There is absolutely zero reason to not run the tune a tune cannot turn off your oil pressure it's simply that the gauge does not work

Run it and enjoy it till they flipped the switch

this is what I would do. If it happened immediately after you tuned the vehicle, why would you suspect anything other than the tune?
A tune will not make it have low pressure..There is no way it can make it have less oil in the car..... Unless he ran the car hard and hurt it.. Then it would smoke and use oil..

A TUNE DOES NOT DRAIN OIL OUT OF THE CAR... If anyone on this site remotely thinks this. PLEASE SELL YOUR MUSTANG!

Until you actually do have low oil pressure then what? I understand that its just a parameter that needs to be checked. One that doesn't matter if its a PP car or not. I personally like my car to know if I loose oil pressure. Lund was great and fixed it within a day. Which is top notch customer service. Quite frankly they are the best tuner I've ever worked with in that regard, and will always have my business. There tunes are second to none IMO. Now having said that...

Just seems like they are a little overworked and forgetting things now and again. Yes I did specify exactly what my cars was, what it had, and if it was a PP. Not a big deal I get it, things happen but it just isn't very confidence inspiring. If they forgot something less crucial, how is one to know they didn't forget something more important? Not bashing Lund but it is an issue. I'm glad this tread exists I was able to know exactly what it was and get it resolved. I do expect better though from a company that does this for a living. I'm not so cavalier at my job when I forget something. But if it keeps happening that's when it turns into a problem.

I'll just wait until i get the right tune. My brain won't let me drive it with the guage not working and warning light in my face. All i need to know is that i can communicate with the Calibration Specialist through my original email that the tunes are coming in, or do i have to start another request? You have been very helpful thus far, and i hate having to bug you. Hopefully everything will get reined in soon, as i am anxious to try it out. Sounded different when i did fire it up.

Yep just email them back... or call them if you really want to. Like I mentioned above they have superb customer support and would get back to you super quick. If you just reply to the original email it has your original order# and such so it will be really fast you'll get a new tune file emailed to you. Yeah it wont just sound diffrent either. Beast mode tune engaged bro, you'll have a heavy foot for months!

Had the same issue recently with a tune update, ended up taking out my intake throttle body due to so much oil being sucked in. The way it was explained to me was due to the thicker oil and high rpm use and the tune added pressure to the system causing the pcv valve to fail and let more oil be sucked in, tried to put another stock one in which still let too much oil get by, I ended up replacing the pc valve with one from an ecoboost version. Motorcraft EV-289 vs EV-281 which is stock for a GT. I do have a oil catch can but it was just filling up with oil and still being sucked into the intake manifold. The new PCV valve did the trick for me.

Don't remember seeing where anyone said that. Kinda scary driving your car with a "low oil pressure" warning, no? Regardless, if they sent you the wrong tune one would think they would make good and get the right one out to you in a timely fashion. I am still waiting.

Anyone know the specific setting in the tune that turns off the PP oil sensor/gauge?

Having the same issue with a custom tune.
