Had one pull up next to me this evening and we gave each other a few revs. Must’ve had an aftermarket exhaust because it was loud AF. Sounded really good though. I hadn’t heard one in person until today, I don’t think they’re super common around here. Anyway, well done Lexus, sounds terrific

It’s a sweet ride but the maintenance cost is outrageous.

My sister in law has a 2016 RC F. It's got a 5.0L V8 470HP 400 FT/LBs with an 8 speed auto with torque vectoring posi rear end and independent suspension. I have driven it many times and it's a sleeper in disquise. The speedo reads to 200 mph and I have had it to 175 in the top of 7th gear still pulling strong with 8th gear still to go. Even has an active wing built into the deck lid that will raise up when at high speeds.

Her husband assures me it will do the 200 mph on the speedo quite easily. I believe it would give most V8 mustangs a run for the money for sure.

Very fast luxury sporty sleeper. They also made a V6 and 4 cylinder models. This is the RC F 500. Now it's a RC F 550.

They are cool cars for sure. And you don’t see many at all. They were a contender for me when I was choosing a new car.

Unfortunately the RC-F is kind of a pain to mod. Even a simple tune seemed to prove difficult when I was looking into them.

While I’m not a big fan of the design, it’ll haul the mail.

There's one that frequents my home track of Sonoma Raceway and it posted a 1:56.xx. That’s 2 seconds slower than my track car and it was fully stock.

Keep in mind it corded its tires because stock mode on a flying lap(s) but still.

test drove a 2020 LC500 convertible...stuck with my Bullitt 🤣

A LC500 is NOT a RC F 500 by any measure, not even close.

My neighbor has a white LC500 and it sounds wonderful. Go Lexus for still making an 8 cylinder even though they are pretty expensive. The Lexus LC and RC are both very attractive vehicles.

The RC F i encountered last night was really good looking. White (not my favorite color) but a good amount of black accents that really offset all the white nicely. Kudos to Lexus for sure for continuing to produce a really good sounding V8

My sister in laws is a nice car that fools you on how deceptively fast it really is. It's not so much quick from a stop but it's got some long fast legs. The pics don't do the sunburst metalflake orange paint justice.

Heavy AF, and doesn't turn is the feedback I've gotten from owners. Both ditched them for something more suited to HPDE.

Never had on track so can't say but the torque vectoring rear end seems to help it in turns at speed from my driving on mountain country roads. Of course, not pushing it to the limits either since it's not mine.
