Buying a Mustang right now is a great idea if you're in the market for one. I just picked up a 2018 GT, 10R80, 401A, PP1, MagneRide, and safe and smart package for $34,998 from CarMax. Vehicle had 16K miles and an original sticker price of $52,000.

Coming from an S197 GT, the S550 Gen 2 is a completely different beast. I'm beyond happy with my purchase and can't wait to start tinkering and modifying the car!

I was in the market for a GT350 right before the downfall. Now, I'm not so sure if I'll be laid off over the next 18 months.

Been looking at GTs in the meantime, and found a premium PP2 in the color I want with active exhaust and B&O for $42k, sticker is $51.5k, also eligible for the 0/84... it's super tempting, considering I can get a super low payment.

That was about what I paid new for my 18 pp1 GT a10 300a two years ago w/ 7 miles on it. Actually about 34,700. Lol... Options pricing is ridiculous on cars today.

There are forecast of a used car glut in next 90 days. The car rental companies and lease agreements that operate on fast turn over, well no turn over. Cars are piling up.
No one to buy, no place to park. Should be a real buyer's market from June to August

Dealers are refusing to take back end of lease cars unless you will lease a new car from them. Not legal, of course, but they are desperate.

I had been thinking about buying for a while before the pandemic, as I was very interested in the new Grabber Lime color but was gonna wait a bit longer till some other things played out. But once this hit and the prices kept dropping I too got a deal I couldn't turn away from, and I am very blessed to be quite secure in my field. 38k on a 51k sticker car, brand new 2020 Grabber Lime GT Premium with 401a, Blackout, 10R80, B&O, Recaros, Safe and Smart. I traded my 2014 Base V6, so I feel ya on the whole different animal comment! Got some mods on the way as well, couldn't be happier. Beautiful car you chose, love these new bright colors Ford has come out with. The Orange Fury is amazing.

I went through Capital One + CarMax so I didn't have to deal with shady dealers. Maybe I didn't get the absolutely BEST deal, but it was the easiest car buying process of my life. AND I got an awesome apr.

I would say you got an awesome deal, and you're obviously super happy. Sounds like the perfect deal in my books :sunglasses: plus the color and spec is amazing. 401a + 10R80 + MR = :inlove:
