My dealer called and said one's become available :eyebulge:

Magnetic was my second favourite colour so I'm in a dilemma...

Ruby Red, the one I'm waiting for.
Maybe I'm biased, but I'd stick with Ruby Red :headbang:

Interesting that the dealer has offered you a different colour... I thought they would only ask if they had a cancellation of a car with the same spec as your original order.

maybe think of it this way.

IF you are offered ruby red and magnetic (all specs being equal) apart from price. ruby red =$10,000 Magnetic = $9000.

which will you pick ?

gives you a perspective on how much you value the colour.

you can also add time to the equation. i know what i would choose. i just received an email from the dealer my is being build next month eta june. i ordered magnetic. if they offer me ruby red i probably take it today LOL.

Hmm... good point. I also just remembered I have a custom licence plate in maroon and gold, so that'll look a bit silly on a magnetic.

Think I'll stick with the ruby red.

I think you're wise to stick with your preferred colour.

April isn't far off so personally I'd wait at this point.

I originally ordered Ruby Red, scheduled for delivery, scheduled for October 2016. In May 2016 I got a call say I could have a Race Red by 6th June. Tough choice. I went with it, took the Race Red.
Subsequently, I've seen Rubies floating around, and that is a truly amazing color. Seriously good. BUT........I am not unhappy in the slightest. In fact, the in increase in my happiness since my mustang entered my life has MUCH MORE than offset any residual unhappiness about not having the color I specifically wanted......
I'd say go for it.

I believe that ford is relaxing the rules around vehicles that are ordered but not bought by the original purchaser - dealers can now ask on an individual basis if they can sell the car on instead of returning it to the pool - possibly because they bare planning on increasing supply this year so that there are vehicles available for sale on the floor.
if you are looking to buy now - ring around a few dealers, there are GT's and Eco's to be had.

Cheers

I turned it down.
I think you will be glad you did. Magnetic is a great colour but if you waited this long then ......8 more weeks? Ruby Red even impresses my kids who say it is the best colour. (they are adults now) and they bagged me for choosing it 2 years ago.
