Apologies for cross posting this. My post below relates specifically to Australia, BUT, since our cars are imported directly from the US I suspect that the configuration I'm thinking about applies to you guys as well. I'm curious to hear from anyone who has genuine info on this :
I've got an...
Hi All,
I've got an odd question based on a conversation I had earlier with a friend. I wonder if anyone has any thoughts. Here goes. Do our mustangs log and/or store data in an ongoing manner? Specifically things like speed, throttle position, information about what the suspension has been...
Apologies if this has been brought up before. I searched, but couldnt find anything similar.
Me and at least 1 other person know have experienced this issue. It seems restricted to GT manuals. On hard acceleration, when changing gears I occasionally get what feels like a complete fuel cutout...
Hi All,
I've modding 2015-2017 mustangs with an OBDlink MX for about 18 months now. We need to enable linelock in Australia (it's disabled by default for legal reasons). I've never had a problem yet on more than 50 cars that I've worked on. At the weekend I tried doing a 2018. Any time I tried...
I was talking to a guy yesterday who wanted to know if it was possible to enable/disable to the so-called "smart-charging" feature on 2015-2017 mustangs. He was claiming the current battery is too "small" to support the addition of power hungry audio systems (god knows if this makes sense) and...
Nobody need be defensive about this. The result is the result. Maybe an Auto vs Auto comparison would have been more appropriate, but its OK.
Next time you pull up at a set of lights next to one, let it go right ahead - I know which vehicle I would buy any single day of the week. Its just that...
It's mildly tricky. From the DIY thread :
In BCM :
726-16-02 x1x1 x1x1 x1xx - Enables control via IPC
726-21-01 xxxx xxxx x1xx - Enables control via IPC
And in IPC
720-02-01 xxCx xxxx xxxx - Enables the DRL setting in the lighting menu. This is tricky. If you already have an "8" there then...
Unfortunately that is not directly possible to the best of my knowledge, without doing through the OBD port and using a program like FORscan. Doing so, I've been able to activate the DRL controls which allows you to turn them on and off from the dash at will.
Sorry.....I should have responded sooner. I had the car serviced Friday and they apparently bled the clutch. It's a completely different car to drive afterwards. Amazing what difference it makes.
At the same time, I also read and followed this thread ...
In fact on last week's run to Cervantes/Pinnacles here in WA, my playlist randomly produced the following :
AC/DC - Let there be Rock
Led Zeppelin - Rock and Roll
Billy Idol - White Wedding
Aerosmith - Walk This Way
Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter
Bryan Adams - Run to You
Holy shit that was a...
I just had my GT serviced yesterday and specifically asked them to look at the clutch as I've had 2 occasions where it stuck down and has subsequently felt "spongy" (sorry, not the right words, but best I can do). They could find no leaks anywhere, but the bled the clutch and returned it to me...
That's a really interesting observation. Thanks. It does sound very similar to what I experienced. Its being looked at today, so I'll ask whether they've looked at that at all.....
HI All,
Twice in the last week I've noticed that the clutch pedal stays down. If I'm sitting in traffic for about 2-3 minutes with the clutch down then when I go to release it, it comes up 2-3cm and that's it. I can put my foot behind it and pull it up and then it seems to have normal...
