Cant wait to see what comes of this new set of experiments!
Temp readouts are main priority! Second priority is seeing if it is at all possible to get those drive modes working. I have a bit more of a hill to climb with that though as I have a 6 that was never designed to have them.

Good news for all 2016 owners!!!! I think I have actually identified the GPSM in the base model 16's. So it appears that this module does actually exist contrary to my previous statements.

So this should mean that ALL base model 2016 owners can add MFT.

Comparing 2015 and 2016 as built data. The as built data identifier for the GPSM is 701-01-01.

JMR has a kit that you can purchase for $500. It includes the screen, apim, progarmming, and a6 maps card. Contact him for availability.

No problem! I have not seen any ACM's on eBay for quite some time. My guess is a junkyard will likely be your best bet.

Yes they can. I have done it on my base ACM. What the reprogramming doesn't do is add sat radio.

I think I identified the missing module that would have prevented 2016's from completing the MFT swap. So all 2016 models should be able to follow the exact procedure in this thread and successfully complete the swap.
