Thanks everyone, appreciate the suggestions. I'm kinda new to the mustang I've always owned imports...I'm coming from a Infiniti G37 Coupe. I never though I'd own a Ford Mustang lol. I never liked them...I only like the 2013+ models anything before that I'm not really a fan of lol. Well anyways thanks for the feed back, I'll be sure to check them out.

No CELs with a muffler delete/stock resonator. Loud, but sounds great.

Not sure if you can just run resonator only with no mufflers in CA, but definitely worth checking out since it only cost me $200 including the new exhaust tips.

My car has an x pipe to no mufflers. Crazy loud. Pops bangs and crackles. Raspy like a racecar. LOUD AS HELL. Love it. Drones somewhat on the highway if that bothers you, not too bad though.

EDIT: My setup will pass inspection here in PA, the Cats are still intact, but Idk about California

Speaking of AWE....

AWE Performance Track Edition Cat-back
Price: About $750
Sound:

While more of a straight pipe design, which I know you want to avoid, I had to mention this one. I'm pretty confident this will not trip CEL or smog (the only thing I'm aware of that will is messing with anything cat-forward). Anyway, these guys have been out for 3 weeks but the reputation is already exploding. Tone, Price, Volume, top notch construction - this has it all. Bang for buck champ, if you ask me.

Hope that helped.
Hope you don't mind me chiming in here, OP. Just adding a bit to Jester's post: all of our CBEs leave the factory emissions equipment alone so they're emissions friendly. :)

I went with roush and a res delete. Almost everybody who's heard it has asked if I have headers done too. I daily it and absolutely love it. $800 for everything and I installed it myself on a Sunday. Noisy if you are constantly accelerating and don't know how to just hold the throttle but wouldn't say it drones. When you push it though.. it screams.

Can't agree more. Love my H-Pipe with Borla S-type axle backs.

I really need to put together another video with some driving thrown in.
Not bad!:cheers: Very interested to hear it is under load.

So I guess I'm in the minority here...I'm okay with the stock exhaust sound. I put my rear seats down to carry some stuff and can hear it better now, and the subwoofer too. If I could lose some weight, gain some ponies, have no drone at all and not be much louder, I would consider it though.
