If I really needed more trunk space, I would go for that one. It would save maybe a couple of inches?

Racing teams don't worry about a flat in the middle nowhere, unless they race in the middle of nowhere. In which case they do carry spares.
YMMV, but I commute like 30 miles each way and a road trip now and then. A spare is in every car I have ever owned and have no regrets...
Haha, I camped there by mistake in 1986...ground was so hard could not pitch a tent so I slept in the car. Woke up to the sound of lapping racers, thinking WTF? So I just watched them for a while before moving on home...

Never been a Toyota fan but might consider one in the future.
Can you imagine the effect on the local power companies if everyone had to charge their cars, either at home or otherwise? That is infrastructure also...
