Not sure if there is already a forum out there for this topic, but can anyone share or write up how to remove the hood vents? I want to have them wrapped/painted in black.

Also this thread can serve as an area for members to post pics of their cars who have already done or are in the process of doing this!

I hear Jimmy used a prybar on it, just wrapped it in paper towels first so the dents didn't mar the paint.
Don't take this guy seriously please....
They probably come off from underneath, remove the hood liner and have a look!

I was under the hood today and the vents appear to be clipped in place, they should be pretty easy to remove/replace.

Are those heat extractors even functional? If you arent cutting more slots out of the actual hood, will it even allow more air to flow up?

I was looking at the Roush set, but having to drill holes is off putting.

I am hoping some company will make aftermarket ones that snap in place, something more aggressive. I too was looking at the roush ones and drilling a hole on the underside of the hood did turn me off, but then again it's on the underside and they do give you clear coat to prevent rust... Still don't like the drill on the hood though.
