I just called Ford customer service. They told me to contact Ford marketing, who said that the dealer should honor whatever was agreed upon pricewise at the time of the order

When I ordered my car this is what I signed. Not a contract for sale, so legally they may be able to charge the higher price.

When I ordered, the sales manager and I both signed a copy of the order preview showing MSRP and invoice for all the options, with him listing the sell price of 2% under invoice. No deposit or any other sales contract.

OMG. Just got the dreaded Ford email… production week bumped from July 12 to July 26. Had been originally May 3. May end up buying a used 350 cause i cant stand this anymore.

Sorry to hear. If they don’t bump the date again, it really is a blast…could get bumped in a good direction between now and then too.

Went back to re-read all the emails to get a better idea of the actual timeline...

Signed paperwork at dealer March 19, dealer placed order with Ford March 22. Have gotten the following emails from Ford:

3/25: Your Mach 1 is scheduled to be built the week of May 31.

3/26: Scheduled for build May 3.

3/27: Scheduled for build May 24.

4/9: Scheduled for build May 17.

4/15: Scheduled for build May 24.

4/22: Scheduled for build June 21.

5/20: Scheduled for build July 5.

5/21: Scheduled for build July 19.

6/1: Scheduled for build July 12.

6/4: Scheduled for build July 26.

I am a basket case at this point. Beautiful morning, was walking around downtown and at a stop sign here comes a guy in a ruby red GT like my dearly departed... chatted a few seconds and came home depressed. With us only getting a few months a year to drive them, it's just so discouraging.

Problem with the gt350 idea is that they are super inflated right now.

Not that it helps, but this is probably due to the US no longer making chips and outsourcing… so whereas we invented the IC and were the place for them , we stupidly gave it away. It won’t help with this, but hopefully this will be a wake up call.

The dealer placed my order 4/8. Scheduled for build July 5th. I got one email update a week later from Ford changing it to July 12th build date. Since then I have gotten nothing from Ford.

Last I heard, FR was supposed to be shut down until next week. Anyone see any news that production will resume by June 14th? I’m guessing once production starts back up we will get a more reliable build date. Or any kind of build date, since I never got one, tracking site has been N/A since I got my VIN.

Call Ford Marketing 800-334-4375 and give them your order number and sales code (dealer number) and they can tell you what their system is showing for a production date. They may be able to pull it up from the VIN too. You may be able to ask them to add your email to the order for updates as well.
