Ford Au told me this : "As for the front bracket, it is supplied ex-factory as standard, and can accommodate number plates of varying dimensions, reflecting the Mustang as a world car. The discretion is always with a Dealership and ultimately the Mustang customer whether to use them or not. Plates can be mounted directly on front fascia / bumper."
My DP has agreed not to fit any plates to my GT until I come up to the dealership once my car is delivered so we can look at how I want them mounted. I don't mind the Super Cheap option you talked about Ian. :cheers:
Mine were those first Altrex ones (one small & one large) with clear perspex covers and those corner bits that click up and then lock down. They have lasted well on about four cars.
These stock holders make 4 nasty holes in the bumper and also IMHO doesn't look good, some of us in Europe used these simple fix things and works pretty well...From over in the UK posts, these are the rego plate mounting they are shipping with Mustang. Thankfully they are not already attached
Looking forward to seeing the first cars on the road in Melbourne end of next week and how your dealers are attaching plates. Particularly slimline on the front bumper which is curved.
