I accelerate to speed briskly and shift around 4-4.5k rpm. I usually use 1/4 to 1/3 throttle. If I drive like I have an egg between my foot and the throttle I can get 36-37 mpg on my commute but I can't maintain that for a full tank.

I keep the rpms between 1500 and 2000 rpm when cruising. With the 3.55 gears in my car that means most of my suburban driving is in 5th gear.
1,500 rpm?! Holy crap that's very low. Criusing I try and stay around 1,800-2,000 rpm

Obviously there is a wide variance in what people are reporting in gas mileage here. Some of that variance has got to be due, of course, to driving habits and driving environments. But, the variance reported here seems pretty extreme. I wonder whether there is more variance in the mileage of Ford ecoboost engines than in other engines. I have some friends with other Ford ecoboost power plants that get very disappointing MPG for the vehicles they are driving (far below EPA figures) and I know they drive conservatively in environments which shouldn't heavily tax mileage. Then I know others, like myself, who are very pleased with the mileage they are getting from their ecoboosts. Those pleased usually report ratings within the ballpark of the EPA figures. I could do a list of all the things I do to keep mileage up while still enjoying myself, but I suppose most of you reading this thread already know the basics of obtaining decent fuel economy. Hell, they list them in all our owner's manuals. Is anyone out there aware of any study done to compare power/mileage variance of turbocharged production engines (particularly Ford turbocharged engines) versus power/mileage variance of non-boosted engines.

15k on the ODO. Reset the computer 2,000 miles ago and have shifted around 2.5-3k rpm in the first 3 gears for normal city driving and about 850-900 hwy miles mixed in plus a few highway on-ramp pulls. I'm averaging 26.9 mpg.

I average 21-22 mpg with 6k miles on the car. When I first got the car I was getting 14-15mpg and has steadily risen and leveled off where it's at now. My drive is just under 40 miles a day averaging 25-27mph for the drive. Somewhere between heavy city and all highway as there are sections that traffic cruises along at 55 other sections are heavy stop and go. I get 12-15mpg in my z28 on the same daily drive so the EBM is a nice gas savings there.

I have 146 miles on the clock and the highest I've gotten was 20.3 MPG.
I think it's the damn UK fuel. It's too European and classy.

11,000 miles, 27.5 mpg average.

It's almost all highway (traveling to autox events loaded with ~250 lbs of tires, jack, pit gear) and approximately 200 autox runs, idling in between.

Last two autox vehicles, under roughly the same conditions, were a Fiesta ST (about 27 mpg) and a Scion FR-S (24 mpg).

Getting 28.6 MPG average :headbang:

26 mile commute to work, first 9 miles is a state highway, next 14 miles interstate, final 3 miles arterial street to work. My car is a manual with the performance package, and I've owned it since August 1st...

My EB is at 4000+ miles, i drive 97% city because i usually just drive to school, or to get food, which is all located around a city area or the suburbs. Currently i'm getting 19.1MPG. Probably because i'm driving it a bit aggressively and ever since i got a BOV adapter i would revv just to hear it go ppssssshhh.
