About to pull the trigger on a set of Forgestar F14 19x10 +42 all around. Who is running 285s in the front? I heard you'll have to run a 5mm spacer in the front for it to work. Please posts photos if your car is currently on this setup. Thank you in advance.
I personally do not have any clips but there's a youtube video of someone with a similar setup, only difference is he runs MRT DP and mine is from lethal but both catless, both 3 inch.
I can guarentee you that the outlaws are louder with the y-pipe. When I had just the axle-back it had 0 drone, as soon as I removed that resonator I heard a TINY drone at 4k RPMs. Idk why AM rated it as quieter but its definitely not.
The only thing about an ebay downpipe is I've heard multiple stories of people getting them and the fitment is either on point, or is very off and hits parts of the car and rattles left and right. My best bet would to just throw the extra cash on a branded one and even those sometimes may have...
I ran the outlaw axle-back for awhile, loved the deep tone and occasional pops and crackle. It was still quiet for me so I installed the flowmaster y-pipe resonator delete. Tone sounded the same with the deepness, however volume and crackliness increased slightly. Now I run the outlaw catback...
Yeah, catless downpipe will make it whistle all day. I run a 3" catless dp and a flowmaster outlaw catback. Its super loud and all you hear at idle is the turbo whistling.
I just went Tune+ a couple weeks ago. Coming from a Cobb OTS Stage 1, the Tune+ makes the OTS Tune look like butt. This thing gets off the line soooo much faster and even chirps the tires in 2nd and 3rd. I'm FBO after I install my downpipe this Saturday, so even mooooore gains.
Anyone have a sound video of it? My friend installed it on his automatic eco and I couldn't hear it PSSSSSSSSH, but he did say the throttle response was better.
Yeah, talk to Grimace above. Another great shop is Excessive Motorsports in Manassas. They only work with mustangs so you can trust they know what they're doing.
Did I hear that Autohaus has an Alignment machine that can do lowered cars? Might need that after I finish off some of my suspension components. I also have members looking to get alignments. Although Ptuning's alignment is on point, their price has been costing me an arm and a leg.
Correct. Adam has tested and proved that you gain more benefits from the OEM airbox vs. an aftermarket CAI. However I still run my mishimoto CAI for purely the sound.
An intake without a tune is useless, at that point you're just spending $300 for the noise. Even with a tune a CAI shows no gains, its better off to purchase a drop-in filter for the stock air box.
