I never check my oil on any of my cars. I figure some light will come on or something. This car has 8 quarts in it. I figure if it's down a half a quart it won't matter. I doubt it would be that low. My old 60's Muscle Cars did burn and leak oil. Modern cars are just better. :headbang:

This thread is gonna make me check it and I'll report back.

I don't think the S550 has a oil level light. You don't want to wait until the low oil pressure light to come on though.
There is a GT350 guy had 7 qts low on his engine and damaged it but the low pressure light didn't come on.

Burned about 3/4 quart maybe from 0 mile to 5000 mile using the original oil. No burn as of yet after first oil change

thats the biggest reason to check your oil level, if dealer does your oil changes to make sure they put in the right amount.

Dont know if you checked yours, but I was the other person who said they never check their oil. I finally checked it this morning. 20k on the car and 7k on my last mobil 1 change. Oil level is still well within the hash marks. I drive it pretty hard too.

it has an engine!
Mobil oil has been known to have burn off in higher revving engines. Try a different oil before you assume the engine is the issue. I gave up on Mobil back in early 2000s when they changed the formula when I had burn off issues. It's a known issue.

2017 GT, have not burned any at all in 13k miles. Not that I check it every day, but I do occasionally and before oil changes.
No A/C problems but it is slow to get cold compared to my old car.

Broke in my engine by driving it semi hard but keeping it under 4k for the first 1000. I use Quaker Ultimate Durability and ford racing oil filter.

Try putting a bottle of Zmax in it and run the living snout out of it. It works great for cleaning guns too.

Just checked mine with 4,000 on the oil change,10,000 on the car. no noticable drop on the stick. Has not lost any appreciable amount yet.
