Hello guys,
So I am gearing up to do a full engine swap with the coyote into my V6...
(before anyone says that is a terrible idea and just buy a GT, I am not looking for that debate and will be continuing with the swap)
The base engine will be a F150 motor from 2011-2014, so a gen 1 coyote. I plan on upgrading the intake manifold, throttle body, intake cams to GT spec cams (at least but most likely exhaust cams as well), and any wiring/sensor modifications needed to work with a 2015 PCM.
Since I will have a coyote out of the vehicle for a period of time, I would like to take the opportunity to do some future proofing upgrades that would otherwise be difficult to do once installed in the vehicle. My question is what exactly should I do? From what I am seeing, the oil pump seems to come up a lot as a part to upgrade. If this is the case, what should I upgrade to? A GT350 oil pump (if it fits)? What other mods would be a good idea to do before installing the engine? For a bit of context, I plan on this engine being NA for a long time and want to get the most out of it as I can without boost. I will be installing LTs and a full 3" exhaust system.
