Personally i think you are out of your mind to sell the CJ and switch to a worse intake. Id make the CJ work. Hell id V band the CJ if i had to.

CJ IM trumps all FACT.

Let me ask all of you this .......

If the oval CJ is an issue then how in the hell do Whipple, Kenne Bell, and VMP/Roush/FRPP/TVS GT500 blowers do it then? They all use oval throttle bodies too.

Ill go out on a limb and say not being able to "seal" a CJ is a crock of shit!!

I haven't seen many guys use the CJ with boost. I've read it can be difficult to seal with the oval opening...not sure how true that is. Most people seem to use the boss, probably because of cost.
Says who?

Show me where this is an issue and ill ahow you a million KB, Whipple, VMP, TVS, and GT500s that run oval throttle bodies.

Unless someone can seriously back up this its nothing more than internet heresay bullshit.

Google Procharged 5.0 with CJ intake manifold. Click images there are a crap ton of people that have run that combo.

I wont argue a boss would be easier to use with its round tb intlet but saying a CJ wont "seal" pfft show me and says who besides internet rumor.

And I never 1 time said a cobra jet wouldn’t work. For what it’s worth. But if I’m being told by countless knowledgeable builders or enthusiasts that the CJ is not the best option for what I’m going for then I’m going to listen to them over you. Sorry bubba dont want to crush your nuts but that’s how I’m going to proceed

I didnt say you said it wouldnt work i quoted the other dude.

Who said it wouldnt work why not?

Ill blame internet heresay since obviously others have run it.......

Lastly id also like some FACTUAL proof of this nonsense claim it wont work for myself.

Depending on how my wallet looks once im done insulating and sheeting the inside of my garage Id lime to snag VRPs paxton kit if it hasnt sold by then and i too have a cj. I live in ND winters suck need to finish garage 1st before FI kit.

Im trying to sift through the heresay of it doesnt "seal" i call bullshit on.

Because a boss or other intake is "easier" doesnt mean a CJ wont work.

Other people have and are using a CJ with a centri FACT.

I agree but honestly I want to just run what I know will work even if it cost a few extra dollars. I've considered fabbing up an inlet tube but without a doubt the boss is much easier to work with and proven on the s550 platform with the paxton

Like is said I dont deny the Boss is prolly easier however its also limited to smaller TB also.

Internet here say and people repeatedly spewing well so and so said this doesnt work or wont seal is nonsense.

2nd part of that is CJ is a better mani makes more HP than a BOSS period fact end of story.

Show me proof a CJ doesnt seal.

Dont people think vendors or certian tuners try push whats easier for them?

Sure some may have a preference of what is easier to use or what they like to use but again doesnt mean something else wont or cant work.

Easier doesnt mean something else wont work. I dont want to hear some BS it wont seal excuse either!

If thats the case someone best show some proof why it doesnt work.....

Yeah everyone saying well what about whipple, kb, etc. are forgetting that those are on the intake (vacuum) side. On a centri setup, that oval coupler will be under boost. Not saying it cant be done, but that argument is invalid
