Warranty
Generally I stay way from extended warranty packages...The University of Toronto has an interesting article about how much it would cost to extend the warranty on all of your consumer purchased items vs. fixing what needs to be fixed. In a nutshell, it isn't worth it. I had a great dealer experience, but the talk about warranties killed me...they talked about changing parts that are covered with my 3 year powertrain warranty warranty, brake pads, etc. the others that aren't covered are relatively cheap and/or not likely to go in the meantime (brake pads on a manual driven well have a crazy long lifespan...or I suppose with the paddles as you break the engine more than you break the car).
Everyone has their own opinion, and I respect that. Mine is I wouldn't do the extended...and find yourself a good honest and intelligent mechanic and you will basically ensure yourself for the future for a lot less than then plan.
Hope this helps.
