Began the install of my BMR lowering springs and ran into an issue. After removing the front sway bar end link and Brembo caliper on my 2017 GT PP, I can't get the front rotor loose. Hitting it with a hammer and/spraying WD-40 around a friction surface are both colossally bad ideas. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks.

Hammer the hub portion of the rotor between the lugs while pulling in the rotor. It'll come off.

Success!! Thanks wildcatgoal! It's physically possible, but removing the rotor allows more leverage on the wrench to remove the 2 knurled strut bolts - which, by the way, are another PITA.

Got the lower bolt holding the strut to the spindle, but the top one is not listening to reason. Any 'trick' to 'tap them out' (don't you love how Bill from CJ Pony Parts makes all these processes look so simple?)?

You don't have clearance to knock out the strut bolts with the caliper and rotor still on. Honestly that's one of the least difficult & time consuming parts. Front of mine done. Rear starting now.

Did you have to 'beat the crap' out of your strut bolts to free them?

Another of mine from a couple of weeks ago. Love the stance, no rubbing.

Put the jack underneath and apply a little upwards force.

Put the jack under to relieve some tension off strut. And, put nut backwards on bolt so you have more surface area to hit.
