I am looking at fitting an axleback to my GT and am considering the Roush or the Magnaflow competition. I love the sound of the Magnaflow from YouTube videos but am worried that some people report a lot of drone at 2000 rpm. The car is my daily driver so not sure I could live with that, does anyone have experience of the drone with a Magnaflow performance or should I go for the Roush?

stevec any drone mate?

I have a magnaflow exhaust and slowhand99 has one too, I highly rate them, if i was buying a GT exhaust i'd be torn between a roush AB and a MF Comp cat back. (I run MF Comp on my EB)

Roush has zero drone on my GT when cruising and makes an incredible sound....

Simple for the garage to fit, great quality.

Have a roush and agree with those above, best mod I have done so far, changes the character of the car, but not at the expense of any drone.

Yep same.
If I am really critical I would say that if I really let the car labour in sixth rather than change down to 5th, there is a bit of a drone according to rear seat passengers.
Nothing that has ever annoyed me.

these drone conversations are bizarre. Some say the roush drones like crazy, others say none. I don't get it.

where as I think the borla sounds terrible. so as i said subjective :)
There's just no substitute for hearing different exhausts in person. From the video above the Roush is the clear winner in my...erm...ears, but everyone's different. Love the Milltek fitted to my car yet on the NC500 trip someone described it as like a generator starting up :D

I have listened to so many combinations of exhausts and x pipes etc

The one I have settled on is roush single tip axle backs and a misimoto h pipe.

It will be loud, no drone and it will have a deep burble of old school muscle.

Everyone who has put on a roush axle back and a h pipe and posted a video has said there is no drone.

Thanks for all of your advice it's just that the Magnaflow sounds more old school V8 and that's probably why it's drones. I think the Roush is best option though from everyone's comments
