I have the stage 2 edelbrock kit for my 2018 mustang, how much more can you get out of this kit with a tune and 101 gas?

Are the injectors (50 lb/hr) maxed out with the boostapump they provide?

i would be ordering some id1050x then when i get my kit
It's the biggest issue with the kit, and what really sucks is that it's a bitch to change them out once they're installed.

Is it possible that they are using the 78s on the 15-17s and the 50’s on the 18-19s?
I’m kinda thinking the DI setup might not need as much injector. ??

Ya, it's because they have more than 8 injectors.

Could these injectors support a pulley size down on vp 101?

This is correct. 15-17 Stage 2 comes with DW 78lb injectors. The 2018+ DI cars use the LU47s on the port side.

So let me ask u, on stage 2 kit running 93 and the canned tune can I spec the kit for just 10lbs of boost vs what comes with the kit?

What do u guys feel comfy with as far as power to the tire with the complete stage 2 kit on pump 93

Just curious

All you would have to do is change the pulley. The 3.75 pulley retails for $41.00

Regarding 2018+ with DI and PI fuel injection, we are comfortable with the 686whp Stage 2 generates on 93 octane fuel. We rely on the direct injection as much as possible with the LU47s on the port side to pick up the slack. The LU47s also have the correct, dual spray pattern that aims a jet of fuel at each intake valve rather than a cone or fan that other injectors shoot. The LU47 injectors are ideal for a dual intake valve setup like the Coyote has and reduces wall wetting while increasing performance, fuel economy and reduces emissions. The BAP that comes with Stage 2 ensures rail pressure is sufficient enough to hold target air fuel ratio during cat over temp conditions.

Our calibration engineers use sensitive knock sensor equipment (knock ears) along with the factory system to find the ideal mix of DI/PI blending, AFR, cam timing, spark advance and boost pressure to make to most power possible while still being reliable and emissions legal. Quite the task. All of this allowed us to run higher boost, producing more torque (what you feel) while still being able to run 91 or 93 pump gas. Instead offering one tune that rides the knock sensor, we will supply a 91 or 93 octane tune depending on what is available to you. We feel this method is a much safer solution while still maximizing power. As such, 91 octane will make about 640whp compared to the 686whp on 93. This is Edelbrock's combination. Aftermarket tuners have their own combination of parts and levels of boost that they stand behind. No one is right or wrong, just different ways to get the job done.
