My 2014 GT has a production date of 2/2013 so it's very possible that there were 2018's out in early 2017 Ford does weird crap like that.

Leaving your manual trans in neutral, and simply walking away, can easily result in the same. :D
Yes, and they are "assuming" everyone is brain dead and never uses the parking brake. :headbonk:

Just checked the NHTSA site with my vin for my 2018 GT Premium with 10 speed and digital dash and shows 0 recall. Just picked mine up last week and manufacture date 10/17 so it would fall into this recall unless the dealer did it before my buying it.

I picked up my 2018 GT last weekend and this is the car I contacted the dealer back in late December. I put down a $500 deposit and was not able to pick up the car until I heard from the dealer on Jan 9th that the fix was in. Check with other dealers around your area and see what they say.

They may be waiting on a new instrument cluster.
The car I had on order I could not take delivery of because of the recall. After I heard about the fix being out I contacted the dealer and then after some run around, they said that part of the recall was to test the cluster. The cluster in the one I ordered was bad and then had to order a replacement from Ford, but they were on back order with no date on when they would come in. Had some other issues with the dealer so I cancelled the order, I did not want it after they had to take a part the dash.
