I am thinking he was just being polite and giving them the benefit of the doubt.

I'm quite certain my estimated ratios are correct, see for yourself if you wish.I'm going to wait till I see full reviews, and hopefully official gearing numbers, but this is making me wonder if I should go with a 17 or GT350 instead of the PP2 now.

It appears anything above 4th gear is useless for anything other than MPG.Originally Posted by DickR View Post
According to someone (I forgot his name ) at Ford Performance Techline who looked up the specs this morning the MT82-D4 used in the 2018 5.0 Mustang gear ratios are:
3.24, 2.10, 1.42, 1, .81, and .62
For the PP2 that sounds like the initial post (in that other thread) guessing MPH wasn't to far off.
Assuming 3.73 rear and 26.2in tire @ 7400rpm
3.24 - 47.73MPH
2.10 - 73.64
1.42 - 108.9
1 - 154.64
.81 - 190.91
.62 - 249.41

I haven't seen anything about strength. Besides gear ratios, just this:i know some manual swap were done with longer gears and they just lowered rear gear to compensate. I have heard many time the 3.73 with mt82 and boost is too much. did anyone here about strength upgrades?
Loved ripping though gears with the 4.10 I had, and your right they look like the 3650 but +0.1 for 1-3, 4th is identical and 6th is almost he same as the 3650 5th.1-4 this is almost identical to my 5 speed Mach 1 so I should feel right at home.
That might be the thing to do with this one. Would that make 1st way too short though?Loved ripping though gears with the 4.10 I had.
Probably not, I know some guys would run 4.30's. and 4.56'sThat might be the thing to do with this one. Would that make 1st way too short though?
Sounds like a good plan. I really enjoyed the Mach1's gearing.Mach 1 gears were 3.38, 2.0, 1.32, 1.0, .62. I look forward to the double over drive. When cruisng between 45-60mph 4th was to short and 5th was to tall. I'm actually thinking when the stock sc2's wear out (which will be fast) ill do the slightly taller 305/35/19 tire.
