They don't/won't do a factory S/C for the states, so why would they do one for export?Great info Gibbo. Any chance you could inquire if there will be a Ford factory supercharged version?

They won't do a superchargered version. They couldn't get it to pass adr and gave up.They don't/won't do a factory S/C for the states, so why would they do one for export?
Countdown to MY18 is winding up! let the rumours and speculation flow!Dealer mate just rang me and says he now has me in the pre-order EOI list. Stripes (dunno what type yet) are at AU$500 and the new rear wing AU $1850.
So while this all sounds positive, I stress that this is only verbal info from my dealer, and I wouldn't be betting my house on it.
I just keep wondering how AMG gets away with the noisy current C63 in sports mode. Have also heard several other high end new Euro cars that seem to be pretty vocal. They also make lots of noises when backing of. Ford needs to benchmark the C63 volume and see if they can sell that here.Speculation: Magneride will cost a pretty penny as an option (doesn't look like it will be standard based on the recently leaked order guide)
Also, I'm still saying we won't get the active exhaust on the export model; not even as an option. I mean, the stock exhaust comes in at 85dB... what would an active one really do? make it slightly less quiet? there's not a lot of wiggle room there.
Commodore SS Redline has bi-modal exhaust i think. Anyone heard the difference between the modes? Also, I'm still saying we won't get the active exhaust on the export model; not even as an option. My18 has a lot of worthwhile stuff over MY16/17. But i will enjoy my MY16 for a few years and hang out for the all new s650, which is being brought forward, for May 2020 production. Could be here by late 2020. That's if RHD sales don't fall of the cliff and they abandon RHD for s650.No active exhaust would almost be a deal breaker for me. Probably pay 10k less for a 17 with the Borla/Ford exhaust option.
The only other thing i would really love from the 18 is the digital dash. Power would be great, but day to day wouldnt bother me that much.
You are way too pessimistic buddy. The US build commences early October 17 with delivery straight after. The RHD builds should be right behind. With a 2 or 3 month supply chain (my 2016 was built Feb 16 & delivered to Adelaide May 16 after 4 weeks on the docks in Baltimore) they should be here in Dec 17 or Jan 18 ..... heads up guys.Hi All,
I now have a notional order for a 2018 with a deposit down with my local dealer. We are still a few days away from real order placing in the US, and likely a few months for real Global orders. The plan is just to have my order in the system the day it goes live for us here in Oz, and then wait 8 - 10 months. I am boldly expecting delivery July 2018.
A bit optimistic. But feasible. Ford AUS wouldn't want people to think that though. They still need to clear all the MY17 orders without having to give them away. But good luck with that one. People are way to informed these days. You are way too pessimistic buddy. The US build commences early October 17 with delivery straight after. The RHD builds should be right behind.
