I'm having the same problem and think it's that the wheels are wide and picking up debris onto the body, I'm looking into getting mud guards but don't seem to find any
It's not debris... Definitely mechanical... I do know those tires pick alot of stuff as they are definitely sticky but I am creeping into the driveway and the take offs I hear the popping sounds... beginning to think it is the Torsen diffs making the sound and it's radiating it to the front but does not explain the driveway part... gonna get ford to take a look at it when I take it in for the oil change

The Tires suck. I have 3750 miles so far I took delivery on 10/20/14 and they are just about bald. I haven't even used line lock or did any major burn outs. I do notice that I spin the tires more shifting to second with the 373 PP option. I ordered some Bridgestone S04 Pole Position for the rear. The fronts are like new they will probably last 20k.
Ouch! Only 3,750 miles? You may be having just a little bit too much fun driving! :headbang:

One of my reps ordered one. Drove it 5k miles before she discovered some damage that looks like the car was in a collision. Then improperly repaired. She's not happy. The dealer and company haven't been forthcoming. Arbitration or a lawsuit is what she's looking at, not getting to drive her new 'stang.

Where before the Mustang was at the top of my list, the new Camaro and the existing Challenger are now serious contenders.

So your issue is with a dealer and not Ford. These serious contenders can very well have a bad dealer as well.

That's really shady I hope that dealership pays dearly for doing that. Don't see what that has to do with Ford but if you wanna comare Mustang to Camaro or Challenger reliability, try to look past the dealerships. They're not Ford, and many sell other makes too.

Not me, a rep I supervise. The dealer said they had nothing to do with it. Ford sent her what looks like an apology letter. I don't know if she got some consumer group or a gov't office. But Ford seems to be wanting to talk to her now. SMH

I hope it works out for her.

I have an old Mustang... my fourth, big fan. I was thinking getting a new one. I don't trust dealers at all. My rethinking the brand comes from Ford's lack of help on a serious matter like hers. I can't imagine being ignored by a company I've been loyal to for years. It just makes me reconsider my options, that's all.

You can be a fan of a car and not an entire brand. Unless you're the proud owner of an Escort EXP. LOL

That fast though? I think he's just been driving the 'Stang hard. For most people those tires will last well beyond that number I would think.

I'm hoping I can get 20-30k out of the back ones on the PP. That'll give me about a year.

I got 60k out of the original, stock, Pirelli's I had on my S197. I think they were rated at 45k.
