Assuming the main difference between the 2 wheels is the 1/2" difference in width, and the offset and spokes are the same and clear the brakes, it should be possible to do this. In fact, I am looking at doing the exact same thing, which is to purchase the EcoBoost PP wheels, which are also 19" x 9". The wheels, at a minimum, should be available as replacement parts but hopefully some of these will be offered as accessories from Ford Racing. From my limited understanding of this... The 19x9 is about half an inch wider than the 19x8.5? Meaning the latter would fit just fine on a car built for the former?
If so, what do you think the chances are that one could order the 50th package wheels as an 'accessory' or spare part? I need two sets of rims on my EB (summer and winter tyres) was thinking the 19x8.5 would be cheaper and nice dr winter
From past experience, when that was done, it kept the wheel prices reasonable.
