So my boss apparently got Jealous of my black 2015 GT and went out and got a Black 2005 C6 Auto. From what I've been able to find online our 0-60 times are roughly the same 4.3-4.5ish when his was new. Though most of those figures are for the manual. Edmunds real world test with the 2005 C6 Auto was 4.8 0-60, with 1/4 Mile at 12.8 @107.

Mine is a GT Premium 401A Fully loaded. Auto (knees. Don't ask trust me.) 3.15 (plan to centi SC it later was the justification.) 18" premium wheels with those god awful Pirelli A/S Neros. Right now it's completely stock until mid summer when I get some time to tinker.

I can't find a great deal of information on 1/4's with this setup (or reliable 0-60 with the AT at this weight, with these gears.) Just from what I've been able to find about the MT 'stang we should be pretty close... and of course assuming he's lost 1hp a year he's down to 390hp, and my napkin math shows that I'm at 8.85lbs/hp, and he's around 8.72lbs/hp.

So... How would they fare against each other off the line, 0-100 on a straight? Which would be better in the corners if we went tracking?

Vette would take you by a small amount in the lower rpm range. Lighter car, wider tires, similar/more torque and a better gear ratio. I would imagine by the time you guys got up to the higher mph range that it would become your race to win. I dont know that much about the auto c6 vettes, but that is my guess. I am sure someone else with more knowledge on them will chime in.

Vette is completely stock. Just a standard C6, possibly with an upgraded interior.

Was thinking of the Procharger HO kit with the Hellica gears and their DI-1000s plus possibly some oil pump gears, via Beefcake's PC Kit special. That's still a year or so out though for me. I want to get a bit more out of the warranty first.

LS2 = cathedral ports. It'd be pretty close in a straight line. The Vette responds better to mods...if he decides to toss a little $ at it.

I'd give a slight advantage to the LS2 C6, but it should be relatively close.

I know my base 13 GT with a tune, catback, and intake pulled a few cars on an LS2 C6 that was likely stock, but my auto is probably a good 75lbs lighter and has ~25-30 more rwhp.

Tough call, but I do think getting a tune would be all that's needed to flip the advantage to you.

Just comparison. When I had the stock C7 MT I went against a 2013 Base GT with brembos. MT. Catback, Boss intake, CAI and a tune. We did 3 pulls from 30 he was glued to my rear wheel with his front wheel.

From a dig might have been half a car length but don't count out these 5.0s especially modded ones.

2005 Corvettes had the old 4 speed automatics not the newer 6 speed. If I recall, the performance rear end was 3.15 and standard was 2.73.
