I remember hearing rumblings about Ford supposedly offering a tune at some point for the 6G Mustangs, I believe it was back on their product wall at a show with the X-Pipe and other FRPP goodies. I have searched the interwebs but see nothing released yet.

I know tunes from aftermarket tuners will yield the best gains, but I'd really like an OEM option purely for warranty retention.

So, anyone know if this tune is ever coming out?

It and the corresponding CAI are the Bigfoot of mods.

I wish Ford put together a testing program and selected up to 5 major tuners to participate in and if they pass said testing (probably expensive) they will not de-warranty the vehicle. Would make a $500 tune like $1,200 probably but I'd pay that. $700 is a small price to pay to avoid going to the dealership and hearing "we won't cover that" because of a tune, which is why I don't have one and won't get one (until I supercharge).

Doesn't Roush have a tune like that?

Ford Racing is not an OEM option. Ford Racing is an aftermarket company just like the rest and you will not retain your factory warranty.

The Roush tune is most likely the same thing or close to it.

Not exactly correct - Ford Racing components ARE covered under your 3yr/36k warranty but NOT the extended drive train warranty. So if/when the tunes come out they should be handled the same.

Whoa, whoa, whoa.....so the real Ford Racing CAI officially comes bundled with the GT350 throttle body?

All this time I thought it was going to be essentially the Roush setup with a swappable insert to be able to run without a tune if desired...

Ford tune finally showing up on Lethal? I've got my own tuning. I'm more interested in the track key and potential gauge display options.

The GT350's intake and throttle body are an interesting curve ball from Ford ... me likes!
