Well, I guess that answers the question of when we'll see one supercharged. They changed the pistons, but not the rods. I wonder how much boost they're running.

I wonder whether they will change the red-line. I'm surprised they only dropped CR 1 point.

Max power at 7,800RPM. So, I doubt they dropped it by much of any.

Higher 11-12 is good boost compression. Make more with less boost. If you want a hardcore setup with big numbers, lower would be good.

With a 50% HP boost, assume 7.5-8 psi of boost pressure. A good rule of thumb on high compression Motors is half of 14.7 psi (atmospheric pressure) will net you 50% higher HP.

Would love to see video of this running at the track. Wonder if those times are with Street rated Drag radial tires or stock?

Probably not the direction I want to go, but gives us an idea what this thing is capable of. I'm guessing we will see some 600+ NA cars shortly

Wonder what the top speed of the Hennessey car will be?

How come I have a suspicion they haven't torn into the motor yet?

Yeah they have reputation, but part of that build is to protect themselves with the warranty they offer. I'm guessing this engine stock can easily handle 5lbs of boost for a measly 650-700 horsepower if that's the direction you want to go.

So the gt350 loves boost.

Now imagine a gt500 with twin turbos.

What really amazes me is the 0-60.
M the 350 is putting down that power with only rwd. Wow.

Twin turbos , performance auto, and awd... Please...

Hahaha. I told y'all this thing would respond to boost like a duck takes to water.

There were many that were trying to act like the voodoo was some cobbled together engine on the ragged edge.

It's a new ENGINE PLATFORM. and it loves mods. Especially boost.

Now imagine it with twin turbos...

Just because Hennessey says something doesn't mean it's a good plan. They're changing the pistons out to make it work for a 36,000 mile warranty. That doesn't sound like something most people want to tackle on their brand new GT350.

well he does rate his HP at the motor.. which could be easily done without building the motor.

My guess he says he does this, but nothing on the engine is touched.

Can you buy rods and pistons for this motor that are aftermarket?
