This is similar to what I expect Ford will do with the future Shelby GT500. I will leave my GT350 stock and get a GT500 later.

looks like he slipped the clutch for quite a while on the 1-2 shift the way the tach was wandering around. Over all it was about a subtle as a brick to the face with the sandbagging.

But don't worry, I'm sure it will make 800hp with the stock fuel system.... Won't have any issues with cooling despite nearly doubling the output of the motor (don't forget the 100hp or so the blower is going to eat at high rpm) So to make 800 crank going into the transmission its going to need 900ish worth of fuel and air. And thats a whole lot of heat to get rid of.
I wouldn't force induction this car, seems out of character for it, drag race it, yeah, intake exhaust tune, most definitely, and please Ford, make a rear end from the factory that doesn't wheel hop already.

I like my GT350 with tech pack just the way it is and won't be messing with the engine. I just love the finesse the car exhibits in every respect. But never say never.

I will watch you racer dudes jack this thing up and go after Camaros all day long.:headbang:

Beautiful! Nothing like turning a great piece of engeneering into a heat soaking parasitic pig!

After seeing Lethal Performance's experience with a 150 shot, they may want to add a clutch upgrade to this package.

800+ with stock exhaust and probably 7-8psi though. It's a far more efficient motor, it's just not built for boost. Exactly the reason that it doesn't make sense to me. You can take a 5.0 and just crank the boost up for far less money. Just keep the GT350 NA, and use it as it's intended. Everyone is trying to make a fish compete in a foot race.

Yeah and to be honest why not just buy a GT if you want to supercharge your car? FI isn't what this car is about.

To each their own I guess. But I bought this car because of its crank, heads, compression, cams And naturally aspirated. But I also understand the love of wanting more HP. Also I don't want the extra weight.

Because they can...

Doesn't make sense, but they did it...

Some people take dollar bills and burn them... No difference here.

i have a GT350R on order - no plans for mods for the R. I will wait until Fords direction and announcement of the Shelby GT500 to determine if I want to mod the R or just buy the GT500....

Modding an R and potentially exposing it to heatsoak with a SC seems like the dumbing down of science.

How? Whipped 5.0 makes under 700 with 10psi. It doesn't see 800s unless it's full bolt ons and higher boost.

They are not using RWHP its engine.

With the new cal you can get 700 to the wheels (823 crank) with stock exhaust.
I have headers and 1 psi extra and made 762 to the wheels with a 15% loss thats 896 at the crank.

An individual dyno number is just a number. There's no frame of reference there. Now, if Hennessey used their dyno to calculate the 808hp, it showed less than 10% loss on the stock pull (482whp). If you use the same calculation, it would've put down 735whp on this setup. We still don't know the boost number, but I'd guess 7-8psi is about accurate. This motor is more efficient, and at the same boost level, it will make more power than a Coyote. You can't argue against that, it is a fact. It will not, however, hold up as well as the Coyote in my opinion. Hence, the lower compression pistons included in the build.

If I were adding a blower, no question that I'd buy a Coyote over a GT350. I like NA though, so I'm buying a GT350.
