I had a chance to take some pics of my new GT next to an S197 '11 GT500 the other day. I thought that some of you might like to see the differences in the body styles side by side.

Cell phone pics, but I took a bunch from different angles and they aren't that bad. Should be something for everyone.

The '11's rear wheels are fully against the parking stop. Mine are ~ 1.5 inches in front of the stop. the '11 appears to be slightly longer from the rear wheel to the front of the car. If you look closely you can see that the '15 is a little wider and a little less tall than the '11.

Maybe it's just me, but I think the '15 looks every bit as mean as the '11. Maybe a little more so. Hope everyone likes the pics! :)

It looks meaner and more exotic.
The '15 looks significantly meaner IMHO.
From certain angles, I agree. My favorite view of the new GT is a front 3/4 view, like the view in the 1st 2 pics.

I know it really isn't, but looking at the pics, the '15 looks smaller to me. I do know that it feels smaller and more agile when driving. Other than the HP and torque, it's a better car in every way.

Nice Comparison

They both look great, although the 2015 looks a little more menacing!

It looks distinctively different :) I will absolutely always love my just traded 2010 GT. If this new car wasn't so different, I'd probably be crying because there are many exterior styling elements that look great to me.

Wow you get your car from Gary Smith ford? If I would've known you were in Okaloosa county I would've met with you so you could take pics with my 2012 black california special!

I think the rear 3/4 view of the 15 is just the best. The fastback and the width of the shoulders make it look very mean, like the ultimate '70 Boss 302.

I agree. When I walk out from work especially, parking in the same spot, I'm like, wow.. this car looks like a NEW Mustang, when my '11, which I loved, looks like a retromod almost in comparison.

Trust your feelings Luke, let go! :)
