Was at a low speed and punch it, car spun, revved up and went into limp mode.

Any recommendations on next steps? Remove motor, diagnose level of damage?

Is this preventable?

Are aftermarket oil pump gear, CS gear and ATI balancer under any type of warranty?

Looks like the snout that broke. From your thread history you have a Vortech/Paxton blower? I saw you asking about a specific belt, did you change anything with the crank pulley recently? The photo looks like the timing chain sprocket which tells me cam timing is off and you probably have top end damage in addition to the crank but that is just a guess.

It's a Vortech v3 running 13PSI on E85 with a fuel system.

I did change over from a Gates green belt to the Gates RPM belt, so it's possible this one is less forgiving and wouldn't allow it to slip.

This is impossible! Vortechs and Paxton's pull at exactly the perfect angle to prevent this, you're lying, you have one of those crank snapping prochargers...admit it!!

In all honestly, shit happens brother, build it stronger.

What would prevent this though even on a new motor? That's my concern :(

Stronger crank, make sure belt isn't overly tensioned, go turbo. Can't think of anything else.

hard to say without knowing what caused the issue, it wouldn't be blower related as far as pulling as the kits use the oem tensioner, the crank literally doesn't know the blower is on their from a "belt" standpoint

i'm still on my stock crank with 1150 rwhp and 150-200 passes if i had to guess

the stock cranks is pretty good,

New MMR ARP crank bolt might have helped? Sucks man best of luck getting her back up and running.

Was the new balancer torqued down correctly and a new bolt used??

My only guess would be improperly installed balancer. But damn that does suck, sorry to hear. Shortblocks are cheap, but the valves probably took a good beating as well. Might be able to have someone go through the heads and just put a shortblock in it.

Maybe the balancer wasn't installed perfectly square, this wobbling out of balance?

Defiantly sucks!! Get it pulled and torn down to assess the damage. If timing is off, likely topend damage.

Min, you are are looking at a shortblock, might as well build it better since you are already boosted and tore apart.
