I don't know if anyone at Ford is reading this huge thread any more, but in the hope that someone there is, I want to let you know something.

Ford has lost me as a potential customer due to the engineering and service failures chronicled in this thread. I'm sure I'm not the only one. This thread makes me wonder how many other folks are out there with this problem and are all alone trying to get it fixed - folks that don't do forums like this one.

I am going to test drive - and likely purchase - a Challenger R/T Shaker 392 this afternoon. At least Chrysler is stepping up and recognizing, solving and fixing the known problems with the Challenger.
The sad truth is, they don't really seem to care.

I picked up my new Hellcat 2 days after surrendering the Mustang and will be going back to the dealer for the 1st time in 6 months next week - for the scheduled oil change !!

We're in the process of selling my wife's car and buying an SUV - 1 guess which brand I didn't even bother to look at ;)

Remember... the dealer FIXED my problem. It was cured 100% I swear, then it came back days later... The rear end is moving around. Today I picked my car up, not sure what to do next. The dealer could not notice the issue. Yes, it was not as bad as before, and yes, even this morning it was not as bad as when I took it in, but still clearly there to me. MAny of us know that it can vary with surrounding conditions. I think parking conditions also affect this. I park on a hill, but my car had it as soon as I bought it, so that did't cause it. I reluctantly took the car cause I was so tired of the process and had to get to work to pay for this car and many other things. Maybe it's time for me to just live with it, put my sub box back in and crank the tunes so I can't hear it. However, I cannot ignore the deleterious effects it will have on the driveline. It already ate one diff. Some here have filed BBB after Ford washed their hands of them and got an extended warranty and I heard some even cash. So if I file BBB, can I file it against Ford itself or does it go against the dealer. I REALLY don't want to ding the dealer on this, I just want some assurance that parts are not going to explode right after my warranty ends. Also, isn't my trade in value affected since the car has a history on OASIS? And I could not sell it in good conscience to another Mustang fan, or anybody for that matter.. This sat, I'm going to meet another Mustang owner from the local facebook group and let him drive my car. He has a 50th Anniversary edition GT. He offered to let me drive his, and I'd like to, but am very hesitant, just going to ride with him. Super nice guy, met him at a car show. Just want his honest opinion. I'm pretty sure I'm not crazy. Eccentric, yes, but insane? No.

I checked NY's lemon law (for used vehicles) and you have until 4/15/17 to file, but you cannot file if the vehicle has over 18,000 miles.

A lemon lawyer will still take your case based on breach of warranty. Just make sure you have all your service records.
Based on what I found I'm good as long as it was noted within two years or 18,000 miles with 3 or more attempts to repair.

HAS ANYONE IN NEW YORK STATE FOLLOWED THROUGH THREW WITH LEMON LAW ON THIS.??????

Im sorry Im not in NY Mark, bu I'am in NJ. I have been going through the lemon law process since July. At the beginning of January I just started to see actual traction with my case, when my lawyer had a specialist log the issues with my car. And now I'm waiting for the observation period to run out on February 17th, after that we will be assigned a court date, which could take an additional 2-3 months. Really getting sick of this, I will never drive another Ford as long as I live, and the minute this is all over I'm going straight to my local Chevrolet dealer to buy a 1LE.

Dude, call the BBB and ask them what you need to do. They are VERY helpful and on your side. You can do everything through their website too, and they will send you all the paperwork, etc. It is really pretty painless. And sometimes Ford just caves when the case is filed and they know they will lose.

Just relax. It will work out in time. It ain't going to do any good worrying yourself into ulcers. Many of us had to go through this. Mine was not with the Mustang though.

Ok so I have not posted here in a few months, as I have little to report, and others may have already echoed what I will say, but here goes.

Local dealer installed a new drive shaft (about 45 days ago), which cured about half the vibrations, instead of 45-65, it's now down to 50-60, and less severe. Seems so far not to be getting any worse, about 1500 miles in. Ford rep calls me last week to check on the car and ask me if we have it back, which floored me since it was at the dealership a month and a half ago for 1 day. Anyway, I told her the car was not fixed, and asked what else they were going to do. She informed me that Ford is aware of the problem, and currently does not have a fix, then she tells me that MOST of the Mustangs have this vibration.:headbonk:

So I asked her again, what is Ford going to do about this very common issue, she said, there is nothing they can do until they find a fix...so I said, What you're telling me is I paid 48 thousand dollars for a new car from Ford, and I am just stuck with this vibration? She said "well, yes, until they find a fix". This is our 5th Mustang, it will be our last, good job Ford, 10/10...

And Ford probably wonders why Mustang sales are off 50% from last year... The vibration problem and the AC evap issue is pretty much going to force me to trade this car but the fact that dealers around ATL are already giving 6K off sticker on '17s and 0% for 72 is killing resale.

This is exactly what I'd expect from Ford at this point, and I fully expect, for those of us who want to keep these cars a long time, we are going to have to fix the problem ourselves.

I think I mentioned many pages back about another very common problem on two cars I own that Ford didn't fix for 12 years until the NHTSA forced them to. The LCM (headlight module) on 03+ panther platform cars will have the low beam relay fail (bad solder joints) causing you to have no headlights at all. Ford only recalled this 2 years ago even though we knew it was a problem for over a decade.

So maybe in 2027 they'll have a fix for the S550 driveline vibes?

I'm going to buy anything and everything needed to align the rear end, put in new half shafts and check the pinion angles. Hopefully one of those will fix the last little vibration I have going on. I enjoy my car too much (for now) to go through lemon law hell, but God damn am I pissed at Ford for the absolutely abhorrent quality control they're okay with dumping on us. Yesterday I drove my father's 16 F150 5.0 Platinum FX4, it got stuck in 4wd on my way home from work.

Well said, Im in same position since I love the s550 looks so much and refuse to settle for a Camaro or Challenger.

My last two brand new cars (Chevy Cruze and a Hyundai Genseis Coupe) both came with issues I had to fix myself and or just live with so I go for the new mustang and got more of the same yup Im done with buying new cars its just not worth it, I plan on wasting the money to get my s550 fixed up and try to stick with it and not trade for something New.

My most recent issue is my PP seats are beat after only 6k miles and u can feel with your hand 2 big cheek dimples in them Im like WTF...

Last 2 posts reflect me as well. I am going back to old used cars next time, just not worth it. Ford screwed me so bad I don't want to buy ANYTHING new, afraid of what I will get. And I don't want to lemon law my car either, would be willing to fix it. One part of me would love to crash it into Ford headquarters. Maybe smash into a Ford GT while they are testing it. Yeah... kill about 2 million for them in retaliation. I'm kidding, of course, but it's what they deserve.
