As for the whine. I daily drive a Lightning. I have modded the blower to be louder than stock. In 1.5 years when I get a Mustang it will replace the Lightning as the DD vehicle. I imagine I will miss the whine and will be getting a supercharger for the Mustang. If I spend the $3,000+ for the kit I expect to hear it as well as feel it. I am 35 and the exhaust won't be that loud but I better be able to hear a whine. IMHO

$3000+...?

I suppose $7000 is in the plus column.

$7,000 would probably get you the tuner kit with no injectors or tune. Fully installed and running would be close to $8,500 at least initially, maybe drop down to $7,999 after a few months.

If you really want to hear the blower all you need is an open element air filter and no intake resonator.

Yep, an expensive mod for sure.

But the grin it puts on your face when you press the go pedal... priceless! :eyebulge::thumbsup:

I figured that since the Edelbrock Kit for the 2014 GT was $4,500 that saying 3k+ was safe. I guessed wrong.

Especially since FRPP wants 6,500 without the pulley and injectors.

Hi guys, I saw a pic released by Ford Racing on their Facebook page, them stating to work on a supercharged 2015 5.0.
I know, Ford Racing is not exactly SVT, but... what to think of this

This is what they wrote:

"As promised, here's your '15 on the 15th update: A sneak peek at the Ford Racing super charger development for the 2015 Ford Mustang GT 5.0.
Check back on the 15th of every month for more great insider looks at the '15 Ford Mustang." - Ford Racing (on Facebook)

BUT....^

That picture clearly is not of the new Whipple design, it is rear-fed.

Anyone else interested, what this whipple will do in a v6 vs an EB..?

WHIPPLE has the price out!
$7650.

http://whipplesuperchargers.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=199

Im hoping that this is the 700hp kit and they dont have two kits with one being lower hp. I have not heard of the above, but I like to be cautious before being excited.

Seeing as I paid $6250 for a Saleen blower in 2009 I dont think it is too overpriced. I just pray they have a big enough heat exchanger this time around. For the 05-09 cars the heat exchanger and pump coulda been better. Heat soak kills blown cars.

Ummm stupid question but how would one develop a flash file on a car that hasn't been produced yet? I get the whole cad files thing but you still need a production model to fit test, and tune. My suggestion would be to wait until you see them in the Magazines being tested before you donate your $7650 towards product development
Blower isn't available for sale yet. Just have a price listed. And Whipple will have a quality product. For me its either this or a Roush. But 2.9 liter will let me grow in the future if I forge her. I have a 2.3 on my 4.6 and a big reason I'm going with the S550 is even if I forge my 4.6 my poor Saleen blower ain't gonna make much more than 600rwhp. I have run out of blower.

Whipple Super Charger for 2015 Mustang 5.0

The Whipple shown in the photos attached to the post are not the new version...in the photo of the motor with the screw on top, hooked up to the dyno...the intake is still in the rear! The new Whipple Super Charger for the 2015 Mustang has the intake in the front as depicted in the CGI.
