  1. Broken MT82 at 12k Miles – Stranded 500 Miles from Home

Not much to update this post within. Dealer did not return my call so I contacted the regional customer service representative and created a case to have them follow up with the dealership. Now I'm starting to feel very frustrated. Trying to stay positive so here is a picture of my car.

Nope, but good guess. I am in the California desert though.
  3. Broken MT82 at 12k Miles – Stranded 500 Miles from Home

I would think that my problem is an internal transmission issue and that any build defect already took place weeks before. If I had to guess the entire transmission was simply dropped into place on the Ford build date - not much could go wrong. I also should mention that I have a small amount...
  4. Broken MT82 at 12k Miles – Stranded 500 Miles from Home

Not sure what affect it might have, but FWIW my car finished assembly right before thanksgiving (Friday November 26th). I'm hesitant to share this info because I think Cotus and the Ford ordering processes is awesome - IMO the best car purchasing experience. I'd hate them to nerf the order...
  5. Broken MT82 at 12k Miles – Stranded 500 Miles from Home

Aw man. I hope they don't put me in Pontiac Aztec. Thanks AmaziN, Chameleon. That made me laugh :)
  6. Broken MT82 at 12k Miles – Stranded 500 Miles from Home

Wow. I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. I've been tempted by the Ford Racing (Roush) supercharger because of the great sounding Ford warrantee. However at this point I don't know how much faith I have in Ford's willingness to honor any warrantee. Good luck to you.

Totally agree. I know what your thinking about the "BS"... Allow me to provide more reassurance. I owned a S197 before my current S550. My old car has almost the same transmission and engine. I recall seeing articles about issues with the transmission and laughed it off. I thought the user...
  8. Broken MT82 at 12k Miles – Stranded 500 Miles from Home

Thanks. Hopefully - What's a road trip without a few unexpected detours :) That's a good suggestion. I know Ford will offer to tow your car to the nearest dealer. I'll have to follow up and see if that is a possibility. Hopefully they don't just tow it around the block and back to the same...
  9. Broken MT82 at 12k Miles – Stranded 500 Miles from Home

IMHO I drive fairly conservatively. But it is a GT and loves WOT :headbang: That being said I have never used the LC or burnout modes. Never power shifted and I take great care of her. Also it's a daily driver and has no modifications.
  10. Broken MT82 at 12k Miles – Stranded 500 Miles from Home

Thanks Joextee. Ford does not provide a loaner. It wouldn't be much help cause I don't want to leave my car here and I wanted to continue my trip :) I'd rather not say what city I'm until this gets resolved. Hopefully once my SA talks to his manager tomorrow and we can get my car fixed and...
  11. Broken MT82 at 12k Miles – Stranded 500 Miles from Home

I have been really enjoying my new mustang. Previously I owned 2011 S197 5.0 and it was so reliable and a blast to drive! I liked it so much I bought the new S550 when it came out – same color same GT package :D I’m currently on a road trip and my transmission had an issue on the highway. I...

    Yay! Mine came today.
  13. Current Build Week 11/24/2014 Tracking Thread

My car is less than an hour away now... But it has not moved for days. It arrived in Mira Loma, CA on the 6th and COTUS shows a estimated deliver date of the 18th. I hope it doesn't just sit there for a week.
  14. How to track train rail cars?

    PM sent! Thanks
  15. How to track train rail cars?

Can anyone decipher these UP tracking reports? My car was making good progress from Michigan to Illinois and through Kansas, but now the reports only give me a 6 digit waybill number.
  16. Current Build Week 11/24/2014 Tracking Thread

Mine is getting very close. It is heading to Southern California. From watching other cars heading this way I estimate my car will be here tomorrow or Saturday. I have been seeing a few vehicles being delivered up to 5 days before their EDD.
