My Craigs bracket also turned up yesterday, just another piece of the puzzle, soon I should be able to build a Mustang with all the bits and pieces quicker than ordering one

Licence plate frames

Since European licence plates have a very different form factor than American Ford had to come up with something to mount them. Of course they came up with the most bizarrely large lumps of plastic that need to be attached to the bumpers and then in their turn will hold the EU plates.

I really fail to see the need for these, as in most countries exact size click frames are available. I used these both front and back. The one in the back I modified to fit over the two protruding US mounting points.

Plates are now smoothly attached, Ford plastic lumps in the dumpster, problem solved.

I wil be fitting a NSW Premium Number Plate size to my Mustang.

My front Number Plate is 380 mm wide and 87mm high.
This is the overall size of the Plate when fitted with my Altrex Perspex Number Plate cover.

Will this size Number Plate cover all the Craig's Bracket?

I am concerned that the Number Plate being only 87 mm high, will not cover all the Craig's Bracket.

Next time you guys are looking at your Craig's Bracket, could you run a tape measure over your Bracket to see if my Plate will cover all the Bracket..

It wont cover the bracket you will be left with 10mm of the lower part of the bracket showing but i still think it's a good solution for you. A small semi circle of black plastic would disguise it nicely.

The bracket height is approx. 100mm, so your plate wont quite cover the bracket entirely:(

Just measured it mate.

The dimensions (of the parts that need to be covered by the total size of the plate/cover combination if you wish the bracket to be totally invisible) are:

203mm (W) x 104mm (H).
